What It Is
Saw Palmetto is a tropical palm-like small plant primarily found in North America and contains essential fatty acids required for the proper function of hair, skin and nails.
What It Does
The hormone byproduct of testosterone conversion is DHT (dihydrotestosterone). The enzyme 5-AR (5-alpha-reductase) is responsible for this conversion. DHT causes most hair loss in both men and women. A high essential fatty acid extract of saw palmetto berries has been shown to block 5-alpha-reductase, preventing the conversion of testosterone to DHT. This allows for free flowing testosterone within the body which is needed by all genders. The higher the extract percentage, the higher the medicinal value.

Saw palmetto has been shown in over 25 clinical trials to inhibit DHT in the body, improve urinary tract health, and support hair health. Stinging nettle is a plant that grows in North America, Europe, and Africa. It has been used as an herbal remedy for thousands of years.
What It Does
The most recognized health benefit of using stinging nettles is activity against the enzyme that causes both hair loss and enlarged prostate. In therapy, nettles are usually used in combination with saw palmetto.
