What It Is

Saw Palmetto is a tropical palm-like small plant primarily found in North America and contains essential fatty acids required for the proper function of hair, skin and nails.

What It Does

The hormone byproduct of testosterone conversion is DHT (dihydrotestosterone). The enzyme 5-AR (5-alpha-reductase) is responsible for this conversion. DHT causes most hair loss in both men and women. A high essential fatty acid extract of saw palmetto berries has been shown to block 5-alpha-reductase, preventing the conversion of testosterone to DHT. This allows for free flowing testosterone within the body which is needed by all genders. The higher the extract percentage, the higher the medicinal value.

Saw palmetto has been shown in over 25 clinical trials to inhibit DHT in the body, improve urinary tract health, and support hair health. What It Is

Pumpkin seed oil is extracted from the humble pumpkin’s seeds but contains powerful extracts with many health benefits called phytosterols.

What It Does

Like saw palmetto, phytosterols in cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil have been shown to block the action of 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme responsible for hair loss.

Pumpkin Seed contains the compounds delta-7-sterine and beta-sitosterol that compete with and lower the level of DHT in the follicles. Saw palmetto and pumpkin seed extracts have been used in combination for years as effective treatment in Europe and more recently North America.

The Science

Pumpkin seed oil has been shown in randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind studies to block the action of 5-alpha reductase.

Castor Seed Oil (Ricinus Communis)

What It Is

Castor oil is made from the seeds of the castor plant. Its medicinal use dates back to ancient Egypt.

What it does

High quantities of Vitamin E and Omega-9 fatty acids in castor oil nourish the scalp and hair. It contains anti-fungal properties and anti-bacterial acids to help prevent and treat scalp infections. Castor Seed oil soothes dry scalp, adds moisture to the hair, and nourishes the follicle for healthy growth.

The Science

Although there are no scientific studies on Castor oil and hair, the nutrients in castor oil—like antioxidants and fatty acids—have been known for decades to be beneficial for hair and scalp health.

Rosemary, Lavendar & Cedarwood Extract

What It Is

Inside many plants—hidden in roots, seeds, flowers, and bark—are concentrated, highly potent chemical compounds. These natural compounds are essential oils.

What It Does

Cedarwood oil is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits - regularizing the skin's sebum production and assisting with seborrhea or seborrheic eczema, where sebum production increases, causing infection in the epidermal cells.

Rosemary essential oil is known for its antimicrobial properties and is used for various skin infections, including eczema.

Lavender essential oil’s anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties work for the scalp's health and assist follicles with hair growth.

Applied directly to your roots, the ingredients provide dual-action to block DHT and prevent the conversion of testosterone into DHT. Apply at bedtime for overnight absorption. Studies show that these botanical ingredients work as well as pharmaceuticals but without drug-related side effects!

Our customers have loved this product since 2014. Use it every night for best results. Since it is comprised of only oils (no alcohol or water), it will need to be washed out.

If washing your hair every morning is not suitable for your lifestyle, consider using it in conjunction with HAIRMETTO® Topical Serum for non-oily daytime protection and nourishment of your follicles. Use the Oil a couple of times per week at night, and use the Serum on the other days. 

Daily application of one bottle will last up to 3 months. If usage is reduced to twice per week, one bottle will last up to 6 months. The amount of product applied to your scalp depends on the amount of scalp to cover.

What's the difference between the OIL and the SERUM?

HOW TO USE:

Parting your hair, apply a few drops of the oil onto different areas of the front and top of your scalp. By tipping the bottle upside down, the applicator tip will guide the oil to exactly where you need it. Close the applicator tip upon completion. 

Gently massage in to distribute and leave on overnight. The oil may be used during the day if the oily consistency works for you. For best results, use a Dermaroller on the scalp once per week along with application of the oil. This enables the best penetration of the oil. (Please note: the Dermaroller should only be used once per week.)
